Multichains (sidechains) and Layer 2 technologies are great examples to scale up and get the maximum out of slow blockchains.

EthereumX will research and develop an Ethereum network where we will integrate the best technologies to trade with high performance from the start and provide our holders with blockchain fees. This will enable 3rd parties to integrate their decentralized applications on ETHX. Such blockchains' popularity is getting bigger by the day: Matic, Polkadot for speeding up the blockchain, and Chainlink, which connect smart contracts to the outside world.
